We help you prioritize your needs and find your family qualified and appropriate candidates. We will then walk you through the selection process, hiring and trial period as well as salary negotiations and any other issues that may arise.
Nanny’s Housekeeping
We expect our nannies to keep the surrounding environment of the children they care for safe and clean at all times, cleaning up after the children throughout the day.
The majority of people who hire a nanny expect them to perform some light housekeeping, too. These responsibilities can include laundry, cooking, vacuuming, and keeping the kitchen and bathrooms clean.
Be a Positive Role Model
We encourage our nannies to act responsibly and lead by example. We discourage excessive use of cell phones, computers, and other technologies that may distract them from the care of your children.
For the safety of children, family, and home, we also require our nannies to avoid entertaining guests, especially those not approved by the parents.
Be On-Time
Whether you are a live-in or visiting nanny, punctuality breeds trust. Being on time is essential for the entire household to stay on schedule. Children require ritual, patterns, and consistency to aid in their growth and education, while parents need to be able to depend on being on time for appointments of their own and work themselves.
Communication is Key
Parents often need to know their children’s daily experiences. Their child’s happiness, education, and health are vital to their proper upbringing. Our nannies are expected to be able to share their day with their children, recommending texting the parents a photo or videos of their child with their daily activities and behavior.
Our nannies keep the parents informed of changes to their child’s health, safety, and well-being at all times, and at the moment an incident occurs.
We promote face-to-face conversations and recommend that parents and our nannies exchange emergency contacts and numbers.
Safety of the Child
Among the many responsibilities of our nannies, keeping the children safe is the most important. Whether they are being watched at home or abroad, or transporting them to school and other extra-curricular activities, the nanny must observe the environment and follow safety protocols, laws, and regulations that help protect children.
As drivers, make sure the vehicle is in good condition, properly functioning, and with enough gas or charge to reach the destination and back. Our nannies who drive children also will ensure that the children are seated with restraints as required by law, depending on their age and weight.
We encourage our nanny to be CPR-certified and trained in case a child needs simple first aid or is choking. We aim to make sure that they are trained and or certified before they take the nanny job.
Activity Planning
We encourage nannies to plan their day out ahead, providing children with stimulating activities. We frown on nannies just placing the child in front of a computer or game just to distract them. Children need to learn something new every day so that they can improve their academic and social abilities.
Reading, playing board games (not digital games), setting up arts and crafts sessions, and taking trips to the park, where they can interact with other children, all stimulate their mental and physical growth.
For children of school age, we encourage our nannies to actively engage with the child and their homework, providing tutoring and reminding them to do their homework.
